Brittle nails are a common problem, but with proper care, you can have naturally strong and beautiful nails.
1. Hydration with Cuticle Oil
Use cuticle oil at least twice a day. Jojoba oil, argan oil, or vitamin E are excellent for deep hydration of nails and cuticles.
2. Biotin (Vitamin B7)
Biotin is scientifically proven to strengthen nails. You can take it as a supplement or from foods: eggs, nuts, avocado, salmon.
3. Adequate Protein
Nails are made of keratin, a protein. Make sure you eat enough protein: meat, fish, legumes, tofu.
4. Avoid Excess Water
Prolonged contact with water weakens nails. Wear gloves when washing dishes and avoid soaking your hands for too long.
5. Use a Strengthening Base
Apply a special strengthening base before polish. Look for products with calcium, keratin, or silk proteins.
6. File Correctly
File in one direction only, not back and forth. Use fine-grit files (180-240) for natural nails.
7. Take Breaks from Polish
Let your nails "breathe" for a few days each month. Apply nourishing treatments during this period.
